Senior/Youth/Disabled Round Trip
How It Works:
Participants riding a CATS bus route or the LYNX Blue Line are to punch out the date of use prior to boarding.
This will serve as your proof of payment for ONE ROUNDTRIP per person valid on the one date you have selected on your card.
A roundtrip pass is valid for one ride to and from your destination. Individuals purchasing and using a Youth/Senior/Disabled pass must have proper identification.
When riding a CATS bus please show this pass to the operator. When riding the LYNX Blue Line, please have this card available to show a CATS Fare Inspector. CATS Fare Inspectors and police officers will check for valid tickets and passes on trains, so please keep your card with you at all times.Transferring to a higher priced service, such as Express or Express Plus routes, requires a small charge when boarding that service.
Remember you must punch out the date of use prior to boarding any service in which you plan on using your pass.
Customers purchasing and riding with a senior/disabled or student/youth ticket must provide a valid Medicare Card, Transit ID or School ID. Failure to possess a valid ticket or pass could result in a citation of $50 and you may face a class 3 misdemeanor charge.
SENIOR/DISABLED:
People 62 years and up, people with disabilities, with Transit ID or Medicare Card.
Customers purchasing and riding with a senior or disabled ticket must be prepared to provide a valid Medicare card or Transit ID.
YOUTH/STUDENT:
Youth in grades K - 12 with a valid Transit or School ID - 7 days a week.
Children 12 and under are to be accompanied by an adult. Children 5 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult and ride free.
COLLEGE STUDENTS:
College students are considered adults and thus must possess a valid adult ticket when riding.
Most of the area colleges and universities have pass purchase programs through CATS that provide students with reduced prices when purchasing those passes through the college / university.
