Proof of Payment
The LYNX Blue Line operates as a proof of payment fare collection system.You must have a pass or ticket with a valid date in order to ride. The passes sold online are valid on CATS bus services and the LYNX Blue Line during the date selected on the front of the punch out card. Customers MUST punch out the date of use prior to boarding.

Fare Evasion
Failure to possess a valid ticket or pass could result in a citation. CATS' Fare Inspectors and Police Officers will check for valid tickets and passes aboard the LYNX Blue Line. Remember to keep your ticket handy until exiting at your final destination.

Customers purchasing and riding with a senior/disabled or youth/student ticket must provide a valid Medicare Card, Transit Id or school ID. If you do not have a valid ticket or pass, you may be issued a citation of $50 and you could face a Class 3 misdemeanor charge.

Refunds and Exchanges
The Charlotte Area Transit System assumes no responsibility for lost passes or passes lost via the United States Postal Service. All pass sales are final. Passes are not transferable. No refunds or exchanges are allowed. The defacing of information or reproduction of any pass is prohibited.

When can I order?
Orders are accepted at anytime; however mail orders received after 12 noon will not be mailed until the next business day. Orders received on a holiday or Saturdays and Sundays will not be mailed until the next business day. Customers choosing to pick up their order at the Charlotte Transportation Center may do so24 hours after their order has been placed; however, orders placed after 5:00 p.m. on Fridays will not be available for pickup until Monday.Orders placed on a holiday will not be available for pickup until the next business day.

Why I am getting an AVS error when I try to checkout?When entering your credit card billing information, you must use the exact mailing address and zip code that your credit card company has on file.If you are using a credit card from a flexible spending account or a credit card from a benefit provider, you may need to check with your human resources department to get the appropriate billing address and zip code associated with your card.
