How It Works:

Participants riding a CATS bus route or the LYNX Blue Line are to punch out the date of use prior to boarding.

This will serve as your proof of payment for ONE DAY of service per person valid on the one date you have punched out on your card.

When riding a CATS bus please show this pass to the operator. When riding the LYNX Blue Line, please have this card available to show a CATS Fare Inspector. CATS Fare Inspectors and police officers will check for valid tickets and passes on trains, so please keep your card with you at all times. Transferring to a higher priced service, such as Express or Express Plus routes, requires a small charge when boarding that service.

Remember you must punch out the date of use prior to boarding any service in which you plan on using this pass. Failure to possess a valid ticket or pass could result in a citation of $50 and you may face a class 3 misdemeanor charge.

How It Works:

Student memberships are available to college students and faculty/staff. This membership level provides access to the Charlotte B-cycle system for 5 months and includes 1-hour of ride time per checkout. A fee of $4 will be applied to your account after 60-minutes for each additional 30-minutes the bike goes without being checked into a B-station. Below is a table that will help you calculate any applicable usage fees based on the amount of time you have the bike checked out from a station.

*Pass is not valid on CATS buses or the LYNX Blue Line.

**To qualify for a student membership, you must provide an email address from an .edu domain. Charlotte B-cycle memberships will be mailed to customers from Charlotte B-cycle. Membership cards cannot be picked up from the Charlotte Transportation Center.
